1. Purpose of Membership

Membership with Calgary Single Mothers Society provides individuals with the opportunity to support and participate in our mission of empowering single mothers, South Asian newcomers, and families through programs, advocacy, and community connections.

2. Eligibility

Membership is open to any individual who supports the mission and values of the Society.
Members must be at least 18 years old.

3. Membership Fee and Types

Individual Membership: $10/year
Student Membership: $5/year
Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of payment.

4. Rights and Responsibilities of Members

Members have the right to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Members will receive regular updates about programs, services, and volunteer opportunities.
Members are encouraged to actively support and promote the Society’s initiatives.

5. Member Benefits:

By becoming a member, you will:

Have the right to attend the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Receive regular updates, newsletters, and priority invitations to our events and programs.
Access volunteer and leadership opportunities within the Society.
Network and connect with other members, professionals, and community partners.
Participate in training workshops and learning sessions (where available).
Be recognized for your contribution to supporting single mothers and newcomers.
Play an active role in shaping the direction of the Society and its initiatives.

6. Renewal and Termination

Memberships must be renewed annually to remain active.
Membership may be terminated if fees are not paid or if a member’s conduct is found to conflict with the values of the Society.
